Make Buckaroo Breakfast Your Kickoff to a Great Fourth of July

The Buckaroo Breakfast has an even longer tradition than Novato's famed Fourth of July Parade. The holiday event has been staged for 57 years, and the 58th version will continue one of Novato's longest-running community gathering traditions.

The breakfast will feature eggs, pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee at the Redwood Credit Union parking lot just before the parade begins on Grant Avenue. If you're one of those families that sends Dad down early to set up the lawn chairs along the parade route, consider joining him this year and staying downtown for the Buckaroo Breakfast. The invitation goes out to all the runners heading down for the pre-parade races as well.

Hosted by the Presbyterian Church of Novato, all proceeds benefit a Novato community mission project such as Homeward Bound, Novato Human Needs or the Marin Food Bank. You can start off your holiday with a great meal and the knowledge that you've helped someone in need.
