Creekside Bakery Awaits Gingerbread House Arrival with Mini Village

Get ready for massive bling: Gingerbread Houses more preposterously luxurious than ever this year, according to one report. "Peppermints embedded like candy" gasped one expert.

Nothing like a bakery to make you like a kid again, especially if you grew up amid Dutch and Italian bakeries in northern New Jersey like I did. The warm and toasty aroma when you step inside from a winter chill with apples in your cheeks; the jangly welcoming bell sounding just like the one in "It's a Wonderful Life;" the ceremonial-like unwinding of scarves and doffing of hats as you get settled; choosing from delicious and delicate pastries with mysterious yummy fillings and quality chococolate.

Add to that mix a massive gingerbread house you'd need an SUV to relocate.

jolly Steve Jordan is hard at work creating another one of his massively charming and detailed to be unveiled soon.

Sure, small gingerbread houses (for sale) are already on display but the biggest  real estate extravanganza in town (not for sale!) will have its final frosted landscaping and sweet sugared window sills finished in a week or so.

In the meantime, enjoy the charming, Victorian miniature Christmas Village already on display. It's like a boullion cube of  in a cup.
