BioMarin Looking for Some New Employees

Pharmaceutical firm to fill roles at new headquarters in San Rafael.

BioMarin, which develops bio-pharmaceuticals for diseases and medical conditions, is looking to fill a few positions sometime soon. The firm, which moved its corporate team to San Rafael earlier this year but still has hundreds of employees in Bel Marin Keys, posted the following job listings.

Market Planning Director

This employee will lead a small group of professionals and be an interface between commercial, core teams and business development. The individual will manage the assignments of other members of the market planning team for early stage programs as the commercial representative.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a similar field as well as a minimum of five years commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in a marketing, market research, or market planning management role.

Corporate Communications Director

This position will lead internal communications, media relations, corporate branding, community affairs, executive communications, issues management and corporate philanthropy. This individual will serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, act as the company spokesperson and prepare key messages and press releases.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field and 10 years of hands-on experience in public relations, preferably gained at a life sciences company or a public relations consulting firm.

Clinical Outsourcing Manager

This individual will facilitate compliance, cost efficiencies, optimal process and timely study execution in support of corporate and department goals. Responsibilities include managing the entire spectrum of vendor selection activities, from requirements gathering through contracting, for designated programs or vendor types.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field and at least four years experience in a clinical research environment and four years experience in a clinical outsourcing function directly engaging with CROs and other specialty clinical vendors (central labs, imaging core labs, IXRS, etc.).
