March 7, 2012 Members of the Marin Chapter of Hadassah, a volunteer women's organization whose members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, visited the Buck Institute today.

The group got an update on Institute research from CEO Brian Kennedy, Ph.D, who will be traveling to Israel this spring to establish collaborations with Israeli pharmaceutical companies and to explore setting up opportunities for Postdoctoral Fellows to do research in Buck Institute labs.  A visit to the Hadassah University Hospital is scheduled for the trip.

Today’s visit, which also involved a luncheon, a celebration of Hadassah’s 100-year anniversary, and the naming of a chair in honor of “Friends of Hadassah” in the Drexler Auditorium, was coordinated by Judi Finkelstein, President of the Marin Chapter of Hadassah and Anna Lackner, a long-time docent at the Buck Institute.
