Pumpkin Carving Contest, Downtown Trick or Treatin' and More This Weekend

Looking for some haunted houses appropriate for families?

Head to Pleasant Valley Elementary School which has transformed their multi-purpose room into the Spooky Swamp. Follow your guide as you wind your way through the swamp and its structures, avoiding alligators and other haunts along the way. You never know what lurks around the corner or behind that tree stump! Spooky Swamp is appropriate for elementary children and families and there is no blood, no violent images.  5pm - 8pm. 755 Sutro Ave, Novato

Got a carved pumpkin you want to show off? Bring it to the downtown Novato Theater to enter into their Pumpkin carving contest. Prizes awarded at 2pm Saturday. 3-6pm. Free. Prizes awarded Saturday 2pm.

On Saturday, take the kids downtown for the annual downtown trick or treating at your local merchants. 11am to 3pm.

On Sunday, the San Marin Improvement Association puts on a Halloween parade on San Andreas Drive starting 11am. There will be a table set up prior to 11am for kids, families and pets to register and receive a number for judging. Parade will be led by Novato Fire and will commence on the normal route, down San Andreas, turn right onto San Carlos and finishing at All Saints Church where we will have a Halloween

There will also be a costume contest, hotdogs and drinks for sale.
