We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children. Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week. You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

WORLD SERIES TROPHY TOUR
Where/When: San Rafael Community Center, 618 B. Street, San Rafael, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday

Why Go: Because the celebration hasn’t ended. Have the kids put on their favorite orange and black and get their picture taken with the trophy. Get there early, they expect a crowd.

Where/When: Rolling Hills Club, 351 San Andreas Dr., Novato, Feb 21-25, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: You didn’t sign your kids up for camp this week? No problem. This multi-sports camp is just the ticket. There’s soccer, tennis, basketball, racquetball and more. Oh, and you can drop-in. Hoorah.
Pricing: $45 for members, $55 for guests. For ages 5-12.
Where/When: Studio 4 Art, 1133 Grant Avenue, Novato, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Why Go: Just finished getting the last of the sparkly glue off your kitchen chairs? Drop in to the studio for "ski week" camp. There's printmaking, mosaics, cartooning and more. Ages 4-14.
Pricing: $55 daily
Where/When: Borders, 588 Francisco Blvd., San Rafael, Saturday, 2 p.m.
Why Go: It’s a party. The kids will love celebrating Elmo’s big day with music, stories, crafts and more.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: Novato Teen Center, 950 7th St., Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Why Go: The Novato Mother's Club rummage sale has bargains galore. There's clothing and other items for infants, toddlers, young children (up to size 6), as well as for the expectant mom. Come early and bring cash. P.S., the half-off sale begins at 2 p.m.
