Friday:

The award-winning San Marin Drama Department will present Charlotte Bronte’s fascinating story, Jane Eyre, adapted for the stage by Willis Hall. This story, filled with mystery, romance and suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. Published in 1847, under the pen name of Currer Bell (women were not supposed to write books back then), Charlotte Bronte’s book was an instant success and continues to be.  Not to be missed.
If you go:  is at 15 San Marin Drive in Novato. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 at door or $4 students with coupons.

Saturday:

Follow a beautiful 5-kilometer looping course around the Marin Center Lagoon and the surrounding neighborhood with over 3,000 of your friends, neighbors, and community members in the largest collaborative fundraiser and celebration in Marin County. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, over a dozen local bands and performing groups, free refreshments, prizes and giveaways, kid races, costume contests, and a community fair with over one hundred booths of games and activities.

Sunday:  

Come and celebrate the arts at the source, with the Marin Arts Open Studios, one of Marin’s largest and most popular annual art events. Seven painters in Novato will open their studios with a show in the with works ranging from realism to abstract, large and small.  Open Studio tour guides are available at Northbay Artworks & online at www.marinarts.org.

If you go: This free show takes place at  Northbay Artworks Gallery, at 7049 Redwood Blvd., in Novato between 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
