Get Out! Novato Weekend Planner for June 10-12

Saturday and Sunday:

As Marin County street festivals go, nothing beats Novato’s 28th Annual Festival of Art, Wine & Music. This year, it is the largest two-day event this summer, with some 80,000 of the closest friends on hand. Some folks come to the festival for the wine and microbrewed beer, others come for the art. Fans come for the music and yet everyone who attends connects to old friends, snacks on Americana fare, finds creative arts to take home, samples Napa and Sonoma wines or local brews and stays for the music. Featured are 200 artisans, food vendors, a premium wine garden, kids’ area and music on two stages. For more information about the entertainment click here.

If you go: This free festival runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.  The event sets up along Grant Avenue, between Redwood Boulevard and Seventh Street.

Saturday: 4 Garage Sales - 4 Great Causes

Novato's own Community Band proudly presents its first annual Rummage Sale.  Come view and purchase a great variety of useful items offered at bargain prices.  You will be supporting MILESTONES' mission to present free concerts for people of all ages and musical preferences in our community.

If you go: The sale is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1425 Dawes St,  in Novato.

Each year about 100 members of American Association of University Women  contribute items for a huge garage sale. Included are books, electronics, glassware, linens and much more. Come and shop for a treasure and contribute to a good cause: all proceeds are used for scholarships for seventh grade girls from Novato who are selected to go to Tech Trek, a summer math & science camp held at Stanford University.

If you go: The sale is from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1610 Hotchkin Drive, Novato.  Please no early birds!

Relay for Life of Novato All Team Rummage Sale

Check out this rummage sale and find a treasure at this annual rummage sale.  All proceeds benefit The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

If you go: The sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Quest Church on the corner of Arthur and South Novato Boulevard in the parking lot.  No early birds, please.

Novato based non-profit, LifeSupportM.org is holding a Garage Sale & BBQ Hot Dog Fundraiser. The great items for sale include household appliances, kitchenware, furniture, clothing, children's supplies, bicycles, sports equipment, garden supplies, snacks & drinks. All proceeds benefit LifeSupportM.org's Mexico Mission House Building, Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage, and Community for Youth Garden.

If you go: The sale is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 643 Plum Street in Novato.
