Uma Thurman is the sword-wielding vengeful 'Bride' on a worldwide hunt for blood over a near-successful assassination at the hands of her former gang and their boss, Bill (David Carradine). This highly anticipated 2003 classic was in many ways a homage to Quentin  Tarantino's favorite action flick from the Orient that came out of the '60s and '70s bursting with vibrant hues, insanely over-the-top fight scenes, quirky characters, intentionally melodramatic music and dialogue. It was a film made with the drive-in experience in mind! This is an R rated film and contains content that may be unsuitable for the under 17 crowd.

If you go: The free film is from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Arrive early (and drive very slowly) if you plan on watching this free film from your car; access to the parking lot closes when the movie starts. The film is projected on the side of the old building, at 520 Palm Drive in Novato and transmitted over the FM band (88.3FM) just like modern drive-ins. Additionally, there's space up front for blankets and chairs. There will be a 20 minute intermission; a perfect time to hit the concession stand for popcorn, hot dogs, and cupcakes. There's even a raffle!  Donations are always welcome to offset the costs.
