MOVIE WITH A MEAL

Movie With A Meal

Fri August 17th: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Beginning on August 17th, we will present our Movie With A Meal evening. This will become a regular event falling on the third Friday of each month.

Our first showing will be the feature movie Kundun.

Before each movie, we will provide a simple meal for the community to share in.

Our meal for August 17th will be a crockpot of vegetarian soup and a yummy whole grain bread, along with wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

A synopsis of the movie Kundun:

Tibetans refer to the Dalai Lama as Kundun, which means 'The Presence'.
He was forced to escape from his native home Tibet, in 1959,
when communist China invaded and enforced an
oppressive regime upon the peaceful nation.
This is the story of 14th Dalai Lama’s life from an early age
to his escape to India where he settled in Dharamsala.

We'll gather at 6:00 for the meal; the movie will begin around 6:45.

Popcorn, tea and sodas available during the movie.

A suggested donation of $5- $10 is requested to cover the cost of the movie royalty fees and refreshments.

Come to our first showing!  Bring friends and family!
