Final Days of the Sonoma-Marin Fair Include World's Ugliest Dog Contest, Headliner Concerts

The Charlie Daniels Band and the internationally known World's Ugliest Dog Contest will headline the Sonoma-Marin Fair on Friday, June 24, at the Petaluma Fairgrounds.

Organizers said this year's ugly dog contestants are some of the best yet, with past champions and first-timers battling it out for the title. As a new twist, the audience will join in the judging by voting

The Grammy-winning Charlie Daniels Band plays at 8 p.m. Friday. Saturday's music headliners will be Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult. On Sunday, Fiesta Latina featuring salsa music and dancing, takes over the Bud Light Stage.

In addition, there is everything from wine tasting to Luchre Libre wrestling, chef demonstrations, destruction derbys, carnival rides and livestock shows. This year's theme is “Preserve Tradition,” and showcases agriculture, while displaying the diverse talents, interests and accomplishments of the citizens of California, especially the youth of Sonoma and Marin counties.

Friday, June 24: noon - midnight

Saturday, June 25: noon - midnight

Sunday, June 26: noon - 11pm
