Art Department Celebrates 16th Annual Novato Clean & Green Day

The San Marin High School Art Department will be displaying and selling student art in conjunction with the 16th Annual Novato Clean & Green Day on Saturday, April 9, 2011. They will be selling original art prints depicting the environment and environmental issues, handmade greeting cards, and beautiful art platters made from recycled glass.  There will also be a display of new artworks made by San Marin's talented art students.  Bring your family, friends and neighbors to this special art event.  Also join with them to make a difference afterwards by cleaning up our beautiful town.  Remove litter from city streets, median strips, creek banks, parks and bike paths.  Meet at the Scottsdale Pond Gazebo to participate which is located at Rowland exit on Redwood Blvd.  Some supplies will be provided.  San Marin students can use this time to help the environment and earn community service credit too.   For more information about the event, call Susan Stompe at 897-1610 or Ed Schulze at 897-8969.  The Clean & Green hotline is 899-8244.  This event is sponsored by the City of Novato Streetscape Maintenance Coalition.  Other contributing sponsors are Bank of Marin and Whole Foods.
