Starting this Friday, avoid the rush at the Big Box stores and instead head to downtown Novato. Many stores are holding sales and will remain until 8pm to allow people extra time to shop. There will also be family-friendly events including carolers and carriage rides. The day after Thanksgiving is a popular day to buy a Christmas tree. In Novato, two places we know are selling are Cousins' Christmas Trees, located at 7416 Redwood Boulevard (open 9am to 9pm) and Don’s Christmas Tree Lot at 399 Entrada Drive (open 9am to 9pm).
