Water District Announces Partnership "To Help Customers Save Water and Money"

As part of a pilot program, 5,000 residential water customers will begin receiving WaterSmart's Print and Email Home Water Reports in the coming weeks.

The following is a news release from the Marin Municipal Water District: 
 

The Marin Municipal Water District Wednesday announced a new pilot partnership with WaterSmart Software, the leading behavioral water efficiency platform that helps water utilities engage customers, improve operational efficiency, and save money.  Marin is the latest drinking water provider to adopt the company’s software-as-a-service customer engagement solution.

 

“MMWD prides itself on being a leader in conservation and for providing exemplary service to our residents,” said MMWD Board President Armando Quintero. “We’re excited to participate in a pilot program with WaterSmart to help our customers improve their water-use efficiency and save money. WaterSmart’s platform will help our customers better understand how they are using water, which is the first step in reducing water use.”

As part of the pilot program, 5,000 residential water customers will begin receiving WaterSmart’s Print and Email Home Water Reports in the coming weeks.  They will also gain free access to WaterSmart’s online customer portal. The Home Water Reports and online portal will provide personalized information about residents’ household water use and how it compares to similar households. They will also receive customized water-saving recommendations and up-to-date water news from MMWD.
