Here are your top choices for Friday, Jan. 21.

— Do you have a student in high school? Both high schools in Novato are urging parents and students to sign up for Connect.edu. If you are enrolled in Prep HQ, you need to enroll in the new educational management website Connect.edu. What is Connect.edu? The college and career centers at Novato and San Marin high schools use Connect.edu to inform parents and students about colleges visiting campus, research colleges, scholarship opportunities and informational evenings through weekly updates. The site helps student’s research colleges and compiles information throughout the years, making the college application process easier to navigate. Click here to enroll as a former Prep HQ member or to enroll as a new member. This is easy even if you have lost your log in information, just use your student's school ID, located on the grades just mailed out.

— is set for 7 p.m. in the Emily Gates Student Center at . The concert is sure to entertain all ages, with classical works to contemporary chart music performed by the concert band, orchestra, percussion ensemble, show choir and three rock bands. Tickets are $5 and available at the door. San Marin is at 15 San Marin Dr.

— Find your swirly skirts and zoot suits! Dress up and learn how to swing dance at . The gymnasium will be magically transformed into a dance palace tonight. If you have preordered a dinner, dinner starts at 6 p.m. Swing lessons are from 7-7:30 p.m. and dancing 7:30-9 p.m. Students from Jazz Band A & B, Jazz Choir, Dixie Band, and Jazz Club will perform. Entrance fee is $2. Don’t forget to stay and participate in the dance contest or purchase a treat at the bake sale. Sinaloa Middle School is at 2045 Vineyard Rd.

— Register for the “Living with Chronic Health Conditions” workshop and learn how to cope with symptoms and deal with frustration, fatigue and pain chronic health conditions can cause. The six-week workshop will begin 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 26 through March 2. Preregistration is required. Call 899-8290 to register as preregistration is required. Registration fee of $15 will be collected at the first workshop held at the , 1560 Hill Rd.

— Purchase a ticket to “Cirque de Soleim - The Accent is on Murder” at 6 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Presbyterian Church of Novato. Not familiar with Cirque de Soleim? The cirque is an original script written by talented PCN member, Mark Clark, who has been involved with Novato Community Theater for years. Get ready to witness a murder and help solve a crime during this theatrical dinner. The proceeds benefit the church’s summer teen Costa Rica Mission Trip. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at the , 710 Wilson Ave., 897-6152. Babysitting is available for $20.
