Giddy Up, Indian Valley

These horses don't break the speed limit.

Our recent bicycle trip through Indian Valley was a great example of road and trail sharing. People are so friendly and yielding to provide access to all the modes of transportation: car, bike, carriage or by horse.

We were on bikes and stopped to take photos of these gorgeous horses and their proud owners cruising down Indian Valley Road.

Nancy Thomas lives in the area was riding 31-year-old Biscuit, who dominates the younger horse, Dixie, the horse she is leading. Biscuit is a 15-hands-tall mustang, in amazing shape for his age. He originally worked in Humboldt County.
