Nominations Open for Novato Citizen of the Year 2013

Know someone who works tirelessly to make Novato a better place to live?

Nominate them for the annual Citizen of the Year award, given each year at the Paint the Town Red gala on January 24, 2014.

It's a tradition that has been part of Novato since 1971, a way to recognize active volunteers and celebrate the town's birthday. (In 2014, Novato is turning 54!)

Nominees must have lived in Novato for at least seven years and should be someone who has given exceedingly outstanding volunteer service to the community. All areas are considered, including youth, local nonprofits, church and education. Nominees cannot currently hold political office.

Applications are due no later than November 29.

At the gala, guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, wines and craft beers from local businesses. Live jazz entertainment and music for dancing will be provided by Swing Set.

Tickets are $50 per person ($40 if purchased prior to Jan. 1) and can be obtained here.
