National Public Lands Day Offers Chance to Help Out Locally

National Public Lands Day, the country’s largest, single-day volunteer effort, is happening this Saturday and there are several opportunities to get involved locally.

Volunteers can help clean local beaches at the Bay Model Visitor Center in Sausalito, restore grassland and chaparral on Mt. Tam or help restore habitat at the Point Reyes National Seashore.
