Localized 'Dancing With Stars' to Feature Novato Dancer

The HR director at Brayton Purcell will be featured in Healdsburg's "Dancing With the Stars at The Raven" Nov. 9-10.

An employee of a Novato law firm is one of the contestants in a localized version of the popular TV show "Dancing with the Stars."

Jennifer Leigh Gotti, partnered with professional dancer Raymond Byun, is the human resources manager at the Brayton Purcell law firm and will go up against eight other couples during  "Dancing With the Stars at the Raven," set for Nov. 9-10 at the Raven Performing Arts Theater in Healdsburg.

According to her profile on the event's promotional web page, Gotti has performed at College of Marin in jazz, hip hop, African, and salsa styles. She performed off Broadway in the musical Viva Cuba.

Profesionally, Gotti has promoted wellness in the workplace and chaired the Marin County Workforce Investment Board and the Marin Chapter of the Northern California Human Resources Association. She also serves as president of the Sunny Hills Services board.

Gotti said the best part of dancing is "keeping up with current music and hanging with the girls, which makes her feel young and keeps her in shape," according to her profile.

Fans can vote online for any of the contestants at www.raven.org. In addition to online voting, paper ballot boxes will also be set up at the theater that Friday and Saturday night.

Money raised from votes and ticket sales at the second annual event all goes toward continued operation of the Raven.

Tickets are sold out for the Saturday, Nov. 10 show and only about 70 tickets are left from Friday, Nov. 9, Harvey said. To purchase tickets for Friday night, click here.

Fan votes will be combined with votes from a panel of three professional dance judges.
