Update: Missing North Bay Teen Found Safe

Delano Urrea, 15, ran away from his Santa Rosa home last week and was found on Saturday in Santa Rosa.

About a week after running away from home, A 15-year-old boy who split time living in Petaluma and Santa Rosa was found safe on Saturday, according to a Facebook site that had been set up to help locate him.

Just after noon Saturday, the following message was posted on the site:

UPDATE!!! DELANO HAS BEEN FOUND AS OF 12PM TODAY IN THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA AND IS SAFE. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME TOGETHER TO HELP US FIND HIM. IT IS BECUASE OF OUR FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS AND STRANGERS WHO SPREAD THE WORD (POSITIVELY) THAT RESULTED IN HIM BEING LOCATED. GOD BLESS.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reported Friday that Delano had run away from home several times. His mother, Amy Favia of Petaluma, was formerly an advertising employee at the Marin Independent Journal when it was based in Novato (her last name was Ebbesen at the time). It was believed that Delano might have run away to Novato.
