The level fire road that runs along the base of the ridge is surrounded by forests and open meadows where we can look for all sorts of wildlife. We’ll head to a lunch spot at the edge of a marsh where we can get close looks at beautiful ducks and other birds that gather here as they migrate north. The road is sometimes muddy, so please bring appropriate footwear.

Directions:Meet at the Binford Rd entrance: From Hwy 101, take the Atherton Ave/San Marin Dr exit, go east on Atherton Ave, and turn left at Binford Rd. The gate is on the right at the edge of the marsh.
