Nature for Kids at Bahia - Meet at Bahia Preserve

This open oak woodland at the edge of the San Pablo Bay wetlands is a fabulous spring destination. Wildflowers dot the lush grassland, the fresh leaves of the trees are alive with birds, and there are always butterflies patrolling the road that runs along the ridge. We’ll head to a nice clearing at the top where the kids can explore, while we let the birds and butterflies come to us.

We request that no animals (except service animals) attend. David Herlocker will lead. Questions: contact David at (415) 893-9508 or dherlocker@marincounty.org. Heavy rain may cancel. Call (415) 893-9527 on the morning of the walk to hear a recorded message if cancelled.

Meet at the end of Bahia Dr in Novato: from Hwy 101 take the Atherton Ave/San Marin Dr exit east on Atherton Ave and turn left at Bugeia. At the “y”, Bugeia turns into Bahia, follow to the end.
