Learn about Nature at Deer Island, Meet at Deer Island Preserve

A ranger will teach kids about local plants and trees the creative way! First we will discuss and use various plant samples found in the area to create a plant identification book. Then we will head out on a short nature walk to field test the books. This event is recommended for ages 5 through 12.

Meet at the Deer Island Trailhead: from Hwy 101, take the Atherton Ave/San Marin Dr exit east on Atherton Ave, turn right at Olive Ave, and turn left at Deer Island Lane (305 Deer Island Lane, Novato).
