The Novato Music Association was founded in 1974 and its performing arm The Northbay Lyric Opera presented large-scale opera productions as a training ground for local singers interested in the opera. In 1979 this changed and the Novato Music Association Chorus was formed, presenting two concerts a year, the holiday event as well as a spring show.
Although it isn't in the opera business anymore, the organization offers an avenue for those who love to sing and share their musical talent with the community. The group also performs at local convalescent hospitals and retirement centers as well as festivals.
For pre-paid reservations for the show or information, call 415-892-6553 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a registration form. The group also has a new website at novatomusicassociationhorus.org. You can also pay at the door, but reservations are highly recommended.
