Black Point Community Seeking Photos, Input From Residents
Community in process of developing a long range plan that discusses emergency preparedness, development and noise and light pollution.
Do you have historical facts, photos or interesting anecdotes about Black Point's history? If so, Open Marin wants to hear from you.
The online forum is building a historical timeline for Black Point, highlighting significant events that have helped shape the community and landscape. This timeline will be featured in the Black Point Community Plan Update, currently under development.
The plan underlines priorities for Black Point, such as maintaining a rural character, protecting wildlife, preventing light and noise pollution, and by preserving open space and limiting development.

Other goals of the Community Plan include emergency preparedness for fire, flooding, and earthquakes and potentially installing security cameras to combat a recent rash of burglaries.
