Artist Explores the Retro World of Los Robles Senior Living Mobile Home Park
Visits to a Novato friend yield an inspired series of photographs.
“I love the creative fixed-in-time personal decorations of the residents,” Lynn Friedman explained. “They are really friendly and an active bunch.”
That's how Friedman describes the inspiration of a photo slide show, taken at the Los Robles senior living mobile home park in Novato.
Friedman visits the area about once a month and was motivated by the residents’ décor to capture it on film.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Friedman currently lives in San Francisco and is a news editor at ABC’s local affiliate, KGO Channel 7.
Along with photography, she’s obsessed with making jewelry and dabbles in sculpting. But it’s the photography that’s leaving a legacy. “I was the San Francisco contributing photographer for Streets & People, an Italian fashion magazine. They printed three issues then went online only.”

Her work has been in several juried competitions and collections and she recently started doing author photos, including Pulitzer Prize winning author Alan Taylor.
Her artistry lends itself to her daytime job, having garnered 11 Emmy Awards, along with Associated Press, Edward R. Murrow and several other industry statues.
She also has an arts and culture blog on tangodiva.com.
As for her visits to the Novato senior living park, she says she’s still not participated in the bingo tournaments but continues to visit her friend.
