Was it "News" to the "News Papers" That Toni is not OUT?

Boy By reading the 2 local "newspapers" one would think the race for Novato District 5 County Supervisor is OVER.--Oh Contrar!!!

The advance says that "Judy Arnold slipped past newcomer Toni Shroyer "--when that is blatantly not true--Judy has been in the lead since the first vote was counted!  The problem for her is that that lead has been slippin, slippin., slippin---like the song says --"in to the future" and if that continues JUDY will be "slippin"-- OUT. Now it is not 140 it is 97 vote lead--and decreasing.  The advance goes on to say that "Judy" had "earned" a third term!  That too is blatantly not true--maybe the editor should recall the old adage "it aint over till it's over"--and --nobody has sung!---- that my dear editor will be FRIDAY at 5pm.

So true to course the Novato Advance has shown their bias towards the incumbent--I wonder if they owe her something?

The Incumbent Journal did not one up the Advance--they too had JUDY down as the WINNER-- and thought the story  "Connelly/Adams" was the main event--No, no it was not and it is not.

The "Supervisors Race" that is the "story" is "Toni May Unseat Judy"--"Judy Gets a Wake Up Call"-or even "Marin BOS's--Get a Wake Up Call "!

So Now on Thursday--the Incumbent Journal has it right--only took 3 days (how's that for being on top of things--or is it "printing what you want to come true?)------Finally------"Supervisors Race Hangs on a Thread"!--Thanks IJ.

So my take is that the newspapers, just like Judy and just like the BOS---are NOT in tune with the citiczenry of Marin or Novato.  They are NOT tuned in to TRANSPARENCY.  They are perhaps drunk on their own power and the fact that two thirds of the voters are apathetic.  They think that "Incumbent" means "tenured"--not so though.

Lets all hope that Toni wins the day--why? Because our representatives need to know that they work for us--we are not cattle or sheep to be corralled and told what is good for us--we want our best interests on their agenda.  We want them to realize that we put them in office--not ABAG or any of the alphabet soup self interest groups out there that lined up like lemmings to "getterdone!"
