Youth accepted into the program will participate in a variety of activities.  They’ll learn mentoring skills and help promote reading to younger students.  During other parts of the day they’ll receive direct training in the areas of Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity to boost their leadership abilities.  They’ll also engage in a program aimed specifically at teaching them how to be a leader in our digital age.  Weekly field trips, art projects, guest visits from local leaders, snacks, plenty of exercise and games will round out the fun.

For more information about this special summer opportunity, including fee structure, please call Ally Oxenhandler at 415-892-1643 ext. 316 or email aoxenhandler@novatoyouthcenter.org  Students will be accepted based on an interview process and must enroll with Novato Youth Center for a minimum of three weeks over the summer to attain a certificate of completion.
