Standing Orations Toastmasters Club Open House

A free fun event

Standing Orations Toastmasters will hold an Open House on Wednesday May 7, 2014 from 12 to 1:00 PM.  Members of the public are invited to come discover how Toastmasters can make a difference in their lives.

“Standing Orations Toastmasters provides a positive and supportive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” says Kathryn Dougherty, Club President. “

Members and guests will enjoy a regular Toastmasters meeting that will include a short prepared speech, Table Topics™ and an evaluation.

Event Chair Jeff Stoffer, who has been with the club since May 2007, will be the Toastmaster of the event. “The Table Topics contest is one of my favorite parts of the meeting,” says Stoffer. “Guests and members volunteer to speak for two minutes on an impromptu topic. It’s great practice for thinking on your feet and fun for the audience as well.”
