San Ramon Walks to School!!

San Ramon participated in International Walk to School Day once again, with hundreds of students, siblings, teachers, firefighters, police, doctors and more walking to school!  This year, Alice Dow hosted her 8th Annual Walk from her house and had wonderful sponsors help make it the best walk ever!  "Every year, we pick up the teachers from school and bring them to my house so they can walk back with the kids - however, this year, we had a limo pick them up!  In addition, thanks to our sponsor Marin Roto Rooter, we surprised everyone and had Lou Seal from the Giants walk with the kids and sign autographs as well.  It was a fantastic morning!" said Dow.   Kaiser Permanente pediatricians and staff also came and passed out water bottles and pedometers.  Clif Bar & Co. donated Zbars for the kids, and Marin Coffee Roasters donated coffee for the event. Rolling Hills Club came down and passed out free passes to parents.  "The community came together and made this a wonderful walking event!"
