RSVP Today for GIRLS OF DARAJA on December 7th

The Novato Theater Film Club invites you to come and be a part of a very special, family friendly holiday event this Saturday, December 7th.  Help turn our theater into a Community Cultural Center for the Arts. Novato’s local San Ramon Elementary School 5th Grade Children’s Choir will be performing African songs in different dialects as well as World Peace songs in English. We will also show a short film entitled Girls of Daraja. The Daraja Academy for girls in Kenya, is a school that provides the tools for Kenyan girls to transcend poverty and fulfill their dreams. After the film there will be a Q & A session with the audience, Deborah Santana, Executive Producer of the film and founder of the ‘Do a Little’ Foundation, and Jenni and Jason Doherty, the founders of the Daraja Academy.  The event includes a “mix & mingle” dessert reception.

Join us for a very special, family friendly holiday event!  Come out and show our children that by them just doing a little they can help children on the other side of the world, in Kenya… did you know, Daraja means “bridge” in Swahili?
