Rotary Club of Novato Guest Speaker, Joel Kirsch - The Arete School – Unique school coming to Marin

On Friday August 30, 2013 Joel Kirsch will speak to the Rotary Club of Novato about a unique school coming to Marin County. The American Sports Institute is creating a tuition-free, privately-funded, sport and wellness-based school that will generate high academic and high health and fitness scores, and a love of learning for all its students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Arete School will eventually become a teacher training center for educators in the United States and internationally, and will be a model for California’s and America’s public schools.

The Rotary Club of Novato meets each Friday afternoon from noon to 1:30pm at the Margaret Todd Senior Center, 1560 Hill Road, Novato. Meetings include a guest speaker and catered lunch. If you would like to attend, contact Gary Bramon at 415-250-9900.
