Rotary Club of Novato Donates Needed School Materials

Twenty-one children will go to school this Fall with new school backpacks and the classroom supplies they need to help them succeed. The Rotary Club of Novato recently packed the bags they purchased for the children, who receive aid through Homeward Bound of Marin. Rotary also donated the supplies and gift cards.

The Rotary Club of Novato was chartered in 1954, and is regarded as one of the premier Rotary Clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Club is known for its active participation in many international and local community service projects, like constructing fresh water wells in the Philippines, supporting Micro Credit programs in Central America, and donating needed supplies to schools in Vietnam. Local projects include Nova-Ro low-cost senior housing, giving dictionaries to all 3rd grade students in Novato, providing student scholarships and teacher appreciation recognition awards, and more.
