The 57 members of the Rotary Club of Ignacio make many contributions to Novato and the world generally.

One of the Club’s projects is working with students at Novato High School where it sponsors the InterAct Club. InterAct encourages high school students to share their talent, education and worldly goods with those who are less fortunate, in order to give them the opportunity to have a better life.

This week, 16 Novato High School InterAct students, accompanied by 3 Rotarians from the Ignacio Rotary Club, are off to Baja, Mexico where they will not only be bringing a number of refurbished computers, but will be proving instruction to a local orphanage on how to use them. They will work very hard during their visit on projects needed by the orphanage, and lifelong relationships will be created.

The InterAct Club and the Rotary Club of Ignacio has been going to La Mission, Baja for the past five years where they previously built a number of homes and a nursery school, in addition to providing much needed equipment to a medical clinic serving a few hundred families.

Rotary and their sponsored InterAct Clubs are open to all and your inquiry as to joining are welcomed.
