Northbay Students onto National Debate Tournament

Congratulations to Ricky Young & Adam Martin for earning their second Tournament of Champions bid this past weekend at the Damus Hollywood Invitational at Notre Dame High School in Los Angeles. The boys made it all the way to the Quarter-final round of the tournament, tying for 5th place out of more than 80 teams from across the country. By earning their 2nd TOC bid, the boys are now fully qualified to debate at the national championship tournament in April in Lexington, Kentucky. The TOC operates largely like the NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament in that debaters earn bids to compete as one of the top 64 teams in the country. This marks the 3rd year in a row that St. Vincent has qualified to the TOC!  Over 50% of the students in St. Vincent's debate team live in Marin.
