Marin Summer Theater Wins 7 Broadway World SF Awards!

The Marin Summer Theater 2013 Company has been honored with seven 2013 Broadway World SF Awards! Voted each year by the readers of Broadway World for excellence in local theater, MST received more awards than any other local theater company, including:

Best Direction of a Musical
Pat Nims - Les Miserables

Best Leading Actor in a Musical
Fernando Sui - Les Miserables

Best Leading Actor in A Play
Danny Ford - Almost, Maine

Best Leading Actress in a Musical
Booket Fingerhut - Gypsy

Best Leading Actress in a Play
Hannah Bloom - Almost Maine

Best Lighting Design
Alisha Ramos - Les Miserables

Best Local Musical
Les Miserables

Artistic Director Pat Nims said "These awards acknowledge the outstanding work of the entire company.  Theater is a collaborative art and none of these awards would have been possible without their contribution.  It is especially gratifying that all three MST 2013 productions received awards and for both on-stage and off-stage excellence."

The 2013 Broadway World SF Awards are nominated and voted on by the readers of BroadwayWorld.com and MST won out over many established and well regarded companies like Marin Theater Company, 6th Street Theater, Palo Alto Players and Costal Repertory Theater.

Marin Summer Theater is already had at work planning the 2014 season of CRYANO DE BERGERAC, RENT and ANYTHING GOES.  Auditions for the 2014 company will be held on March 15, 22, and 29 by appointment only.  MST is also accepting recorded auditions through March 29, 2014.  Interested performers, theater technicians, and musicians should register at www.marinsummertheater.org for more information.
