Limited Pre-School Openings at the Novato Youth Center- Register Now to Ensure a Spot for the School Year!

A limited number of openings are available in the Novato Youth Center’s Early Care and Childhood Education Program for ages 18 months through 5 years. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm, with some part-time spots available.  Licensed by the California Department of Education (#213001794), the program offers an academic curriculum designed for school readiness, and a variety of enrichment activities that foster social, physical, emotional and academic development.

Teachers are nurturing professionals, specializing in the age group they teach, and hold current Child Development Permits and/or Teaching Credentials. They provide experience, expertise and enthusiasm in providing monthly theme-based activities with low teacher/child ratios. The Center’s curriculum fosters reading, art, music, science, socialization skills and includes a socio-emotional component called Second Step, which builds skills in the areas of sharing, manners, learning to ask for help and calming techniques. With a healthy balance of structure and self guided activities, children graduate from the Center well rounded, and well-prepared for a successful Kindergarten experience.
