Does District 5 Supervisor Judy Arnold actually live in District 5?

This is not intended as a “hit piece” question.

The house at 465 Ridge Rd is listed on candidate Arnold’s campaign literature as being her address and campaign headquarters. Ridge Rd is a private road maintained by the residents through an informal association responsible for maintaining the road.  Property owners are expected/invoiced for payment of $150/parcel annual dues towards road maintenance. Arnold has not paid her share this year.

For the past several months from outward appearances no one actually lives in the house. It is relatively easy to see if there are active occupants using the house as it has a massive glass exterior to the street and to the rear of the house allowing a view through the living room, etc. when the curtains are open.

Two years ago there was visual evidence there was occupancy with the concomitant external activity associated with full time occupancy, but for many months this has not been the case.

The house is furnished, but rarely are any cars seen on the premises for any length of time. The anti-burglary light timers with their repetitious on-off sequence indicate the lack of human occupancy. The only sign of life at the address is when the house has been used for meetings.

A week ago today someone removed all campaign signs along Canyon and lower Ridge Rd including numerous signs in front of the 365 Ridge Rd house and a couple of adjacent houses. Arnold’s signs were not replaced for four days. Toni Shroyer’s signs were replaced within a day. This sign replacement delay is very strange as visible from the street there was and is a stack of unused Arnold campaign signs leaning against the garage wall.

A couple of Arnold signs were eventually tacked to a property line fence. An unknown white SUV was present at the time the signs reappeared. One would think that another phone call by Arnold to Dutra in San Rafael, a rock quarry firm periodically in front of the Board of Supervisors with permit problems, would be all it would take to have their previously used professional Arnold political campaign sign placement detachment drive to the north county and re-erect the signage. Perhaps the white SUV was a Dutra vehicle.

Every few days Bruce Arnold’s red Suzuki jeep is seen for a short while on site but only for that. Judy Arnold’s “Supervisor” vanity plates are no longer seen as they frequently were when she actually lived there.

A requirement of representing a voting district in Marin County is that the representative actually resides in that district in this case within the legal boundaries of District 5. Arnold lists her address as 465 Ridge Rd on her campaign literature. No one appears to be living there.

Ridge Road is a dead end road. This means many residents pass 465 Ridge near the entrance to Ridge Rd several times a day and early morning and late evening. The general impression is that for some time no one actually lives in the house.

Perhaps someone can tell us where Judy Arnold actually sleeps at night and whether or not it is within the legal boundary of District 5.
