Square dancers from the local Buzzin Boots club are in need of a new home.
The club, founded in 1952, has held its dance sessions at the in Hamilton, but the power squadron has notified the city that at the former Hamilton Air Force Base building, and the city is going to lease out the venue for art studios.
The square dancers only need about a 20-foot-square wooden floor for two hours on Friday nights, although the space at the power squadron building was more like a 36-foot square.
Buzzin Boots is a nonprofit group of responsible seniors who clean up after themselves and have insurance to cover events.
Interested in dancing? Sixteen to 24 people show up to the Friday night dances and it's a lot of fun.
