Novato Women's Network, Inc. has been busy working on its biggest event of the year, the third annual Night of Gifting. The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Trek Winery, 1026 Machin Ave. in downtown Novato, just one block north of Grant Avenue.
In 2010, NWN raised more than $10,000 for Novato Human Needs Center. In 2011, NWN raised the bar and donated more than $20,000 to Novato Youth Center.
This year, Night of Gifting 2012 benefits Novato School Fuel, the Novato Foundation for Public Education. The foundation raises money to pay for programs for Novato Unified School District students and sponsors local events that showcase NUSD students. School Fuel also develops partnerships with private and public organization that offer programs for local schools.
The event is supported by local proprietors such as Chianti Cucina and White Rose Ranch, which will be present to offer tastes of their culinary creations. Local wines and brews are served as well, thanks to generous donations from Trek Wines and Lagunitas Brewery.
The network is inviting and encouraging local merchants to donate their services, an item, dinner for two, weekend getaways, gift baskets or anything special that can be include in the silent auction, which will be held during the event. The live auction will be held to "Fund a Need" of a program for School Fuel.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to join us, along with other local businesses, promote your products, services, food, or beverage, and become better acquainted with our community.
Your contribution will be acknowledged at the event, on the event flyers, and on the event's website. It will also be highlighted on the website of the network's partner, Novato School Fuel, a community charitable organization, and excellent cause worthy of support.
