Community Corner

2nd Annual Novato Youth Chili Academy a Tasty Success!

Novato's Fire Fighter Chefs joined forces with Novato Youth Center's Middle School Youth on March 6th to offer a spicy and fun cook-off for the community while raising funds to support youth programs in Novato. This event offered youth the opportunity to learn cooking skills by teaming up with Novato Fire Foundation's seasoned chefs, and play it forward by inviting the community to taste the results. A judging panel, raffle, great food, music & a slide show, cooking tips and our generous sponsors made this a successful event.

Many Thanks to our Judging Panel: Mayor Eric Lucan, City of Novato;     Charlotte Shell, Novato Youth Center Board of Directors; and Lj Silverman, Novato Fire Foundation & Novato Fire District Board of Directors & Leslie Horak, PG&E Community Relations

This delicious fun and learning experience was made possible by:
5-Alarm Sponsor: Pacific Gas and Electric Company, who presented a check for 10,000!
3-Alarm Sponsors: Bank of Marin ; W. Bradley Electric, Inc.http://www.wbeinc.com/
