Novato Patch Welcomes Journey Ford

Novato's Iconic Ford Dealership Revamps Its Management Structure with Veteran of Dealership -- And the first Gulf War!

Welcome, Journey Ford, one of the newest advertisers to Novato Patch, and the surrounding Patch sites in Marin County and Petaluma!

To many in the North Bay, Journey Ford, (formerly Novato Ford), has been the go-to place to get a new or used car or truck, or to service their existing vehicles, for decades.

Long-time customers of the dealership will now find a familiar face behind the sales desk – Petaluma resident Glenn Ross, who worked at the dealership under previous ownership for a total of 13 years. He’s returned to Novato, this time on the dealership’s executive team, serving as General Sales Manager.

Journey Ford’s owner and dealership principal, Ali Omoomy, said that Ross’s arrival is part of a new management structure that is designed to deliver high levels of customer service at the dealership.

“Glenn’s goal for the dealership, to make a positive impact on as many people as possible, is completely in line with everything we stand for here at Journey Ford,” Omoomy said “We added Joseph Clementi,” a General Manager over the entire dealership, “in January, and now our administrative structure is complete.”

“To me, ‘Journey’ means a never-ending relationship with clients," Ross said. "You don’t just buy a car and disappear out our door forever."

"I came back to Journey Ford because the previous car dealership I worked was more concerned with profit than customer satisfaction and employee growth. That’s no way to foster both a good place to work and a good place (for customers) to buy,” he said.

In his new position at Journey Ford, Ross, who is an 8-year member of the Professional Salesperson's Association, is responsible for motivating the dealership’s fleet of product specialists, resolving conflicts, and helping guide best practice decisions alongside Omoomy and Clementi.

Ross, who is a combat veteran who served in the Gulf War’s Operation Desert Storm, said that he began his career in the automotive industry as a car detailer in high school.  He cites his time with the 2nd armored division FWD in Desert Storm as a factor in his driven, objective-oriented personality.

When he’s not helping to change the public’s perception of the car-buying business, Ross enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Debbie, and their combined six children. He also enjoys boating and cycling around the North Bay area.  He said that he hopes old and new friends will stop by or get in touch.

Welcome back to Novato, Glenn Ross.  And thanks, Journey Ford, for being part of what we do at Patch!
