Sam does make a good point about voting, but the turnout at the ballots are low so it's hard toRead More figure out what people really think of the local government. Plus the unions are very good at getting their robots.. I mean constituents to turn out and vote.

Doesn't "Homeward Bound" mean going home? I'm sure living with your parents isn't as coolRead More as having your own place, but if they won't help you out, why should we? We're too busy helping out our own kids.

Thanks for the good question. We are building 12 two-bedroom and 2 one-bedroom small family homesRead More plus a community center with a tutoring space. The one-bedroom units will be available to families that consist of one adult plus one child. We look forward to updating everyone more as the project moves along.

PLEASE be sure to block access to Oma Village from Nave Drive with your landscaping/soundwalls. WeRead More use the N-101/ Nave Drive Exit ramp every evening and people cross Nave Drive at the end of the exit ramp into the Oma Village area. Visibility is poor as the drivers are ascending a curve and the pedestrians are in dark clothing. Our assumption is they're taking a short cut home from the bus pads rather than using the cross-walks and light at Bolling Circle. We're amazed someone hasn't already been hit. I'm also concerned about the lack of sidewalks north of Bolling Circle to Hamilton School...the graveled shoulder doesn't seem a safe passage for children, especially with all of the cars exiting the new Hamilton Gym and parking on the shoulder in front of it.

The shortcut that's mentioned is not actually on the Oma Village property, but sits on the parcelRead More next door. Therefore we're unable to block access. However, Homeward Bound is concerned about safety in this area and our design will include the following measures: a one-way driveway into the Oma Village property from Nave Drive, exiting to Marin Valley Drive, and a sound wall that prohibits people from entering or exiting except through the driveway. All children on the property will be encouraged to use the bike path rather than the main road whenever possible. We appreciate your observations.

This is truly a Peace Lutheran team effort! Without the support of our members, this meal programRead More would not exist....they are most generous with their time and donations. The "bagging team" is wonderful: Marlene Halden, Vicki & Warren McGowan, Mary Ann Griller, Ulla Kerr, Jeanine Hillebrandt. It is a privelege to help our neighbors at Fireside. Thank you so much for recognizing our program! With heart-filled appreciation, Sharon Sides
