Weather Cooperates for Classic Car Show at Civic Center
It was windy, cool and just a tad wet, but about 5,500 people checked out the Marin-Sonoma Concours d'Elegance at the county fairgrounds.
Anyone who remembered the first Marin-Sonoma Concours d'Elegance three years ago — when it was about 103 degrees — was not complaining about the cool, breezy weather Sunday for the third annual car show at the Marin County Fairgrounds. A few drops came down late in the day, but it did not spoil the party.
Antique cars and other vintage vehicles attracted about 5,500 people through the gates, according to event organizers. There was something for everyone: sleek European sports cars, mile-long luxury touring cars, American hot rods, Indianapolis 500 racers, electric vehicles, micro-tiny two-seaters, classic chrome trailers and spectacular wooden boats on the lagoon.
The event was a fundraiser for Hospice by the Bay.

I didn't make it to the Civic Center event but I did take some pictures of "The Drive" the day before. See pictures here: http://www.frankfennemaphotography.com/thedrive
