'Together We Can' Enjoy the PTA Reflection's Art Show
Here are your top choices for Friday, Jan. 14.
— The theme for the National PTA’s Reflection Contest is, “Together We Can.” See how students at the elementary, middle and high school interpreted this theme and expressed themselves with many different art mediums. There will be a gallery and exhibition highlighting the 16th District PTA winners from 6-9 p.m. at the Novato Unified School District, 1015 Seventh St.
— Brad Bann will perform songs of Sinatra from 7-10 p.m. at Rickey’s Restaurant, 250 Entrada Dr. As I am writing this column, I am listening to his rendition of Sinatra’s" Summer Wind and Blue Moon." Click here to view Brad Bann’s YouTube videos. For more information, call 883-5952.
— Rancho Elementary School's kindergarten lottery is on Saturday, Jan. 29. In order to be eligible for this lottery, a parent of the incoming kindergartener needs to tour the school. There is a tour today, but the tour is full. Here are other tour opportunities: Jan. 18, Jan. 25 or Jan. 27. Call 897-3101 to book a tour. Rancho Elementary School is at 1430 Johnson St.
— Buy a ticket to Our Lady of Loretto’s Crab Feed and Dance starting at 6 p.m. Jan. 22. The annual event is held in Our Lady of Loretto’s Parish Hall, The evening is full of fun with a no host bar, appetizers, homemade pasta, caesar salad, all-you-can-eat crab, desert and dancing with DJ Buddy Holly. — The Rotary Club of Novato, District 5150, meets 12:15 p.m. Fridays at the Margaret Todd Senior Center, 1560 Hill Rd. A no-host buffet lunch is available at all meetings.
