Man Accused of Stalking Ex-Girlfriend

An 18-year-old Novato resident was arrested after he allegedly sent several texts to an ex-girlfriend who placed a restraining order on him.

Novato police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion that he violated a restraining order placed on him by an ex-girlfriend, according to Sgt. Eric Riddell.

Richard Robert Trieber, who lists his occupation as student, was booked in Marin County jail this morning on the felony charge of stalking. His bail is $150,000.

Trieber’s ex-girlfriend placed a restraining on him April 30, 2012. Since then, Trieber allegedly sent several texts to her, violating the terms of the order, Riddell said.
