Kids' Plastic Wrap Prank Not Very Funny to Traffic Officer

The following information from Jan. 19-20 was supplied by the Novato Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The Headliner:

11:13 p.m., Jan. 20 – Juveniles reportedly stretched Saran Wrap across San Ramon Way near San Marin Drive.  They were last seen in a red Toyota Yaris on San Ramon Way.  The responding officer removed the debris but was unable to locate the vehicle or juveniles.

Jan. 19

12:43 a.m. – A window was smashed and a laptop and personal items were stolen from a rental car parked on the 200 block of Alameda Del Prado.

8:49 a.m. – A driver-side window was smashed and purse taken from a white Toyota Camry on Grass Court.

11:36 a.m. – Coin boxes were broken into at the laundry room of a complex located on the1500 block of Vallejo Avenue causing about $700 in damage.

2:50 p.m. – A woman was cited for shoplifting at Costco in the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. All of the merchandise was recovered.

10:50 p.m. – A man was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail after banging on the windows at the CVS store on Grant Avenue and Seventh Street for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.  He had been walking in and out of the store since approximately 6 p.m. and appeared to be talking to himself.  

Jan. 20

12:015 a.m. – A man was arrested on Bolling Circle and Hathaway Drive on an outstanding Marin County warrant.

11:14 a.m. –  Parents with their children were warned about trespassing on property on the 5400 block of Hanna Ranch Road after an officer responding to a noise disturbance call discovered them riding small motorcycles.

10:17 a.m. – A person on the 300 block of Enfrente Road was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and booked into the Marin County Jail.

9:32 p.m. – A woman on the 1500 block of South Novato Boulevard reported that her daughter had assaulted her and threw items at her.  The daughter was cited for assault and battery and released.

11:16 p.m. – A woman on the 2000 block of Novato Boulevard was arrested and booked on a warrant.
